Many of you sent us names of people you would like to see at the "counterculture" reunion in Ames, August 16-18, 2002. We compiled the names into the list below. A pretty good sized list!
Now we need your help in locating these folks. Some may know of the reunion, but have never contacted us as to whether or not they wish to attend. Many others may be completely unaware of the event. Our goal is to make sure all of these people have been contacted and to determine whether they are interested in attending, or just having their name and contact info listed on the website, or at least getting on the mailing list.
There are several ways you can help us. Peruse the list below. If you are in contact with any of these people, then let them know about the reunion and the website (if you haven't already), tell them their name is on the invitee list, and urge them to contact us even if they aren't interested. (If they don't have email, give them our postal address listed on the website.) Then be sure to email us at amesreunion@amesreunion.com and tell us who you've contacted and whether or not they seemed interested. This way we can remove their name from the "to be contacted" list and put our efforts into locating other people on the list.
If you see people on the list with whom you are not in contact, but know something about their whereabouts, please let us know as well. This will help us in our attempts to locate and contact them.
Also please be aware that the list is not exclusive. No doubt many names are not on the list that probably should be, so feel free to contact anyone else you think should be there and let us know who they are.
Finally, visit the website if you haven't been there recently. There are a lot of new pictures, the "potpourri" page is completed, and be sure to check out the "old trunk in the attic."
